Future and Foresight at ECA

The aim of future and foresight at ECA is to create resilience and sustainability for the future; surfacing what is driving and shaping the future.

The focus is on how to build the best possible future for children to achieve the ECA vision: “Every young child can flourish to their full potential in a safe and family-friendly environment”

We foster strategic, future-oriented and anticipatory culture at ECA, as the future of the children is at the foundation of our society. We focus on 4 pillars: ECD Foresight Literature, Children’s Future Studio, Foresight Capacity Building, and Abu Dhabi Foresight Network.
We align with the ECA 13 strategic priorities and the Aspirational Child and build foresight on different scenarios that master uncertainty and capture change with time to reach our visions.

What Do We Do

Fill the gaps of the foresight literature to support an anticipatory ECD ecosystem, the needs of young children, families, and future generations;

Create the space for a conceptual studio, a space that allows for knowledge transfer, experimentation, and prototyping of ideas centered around future and foresight;
