Description: During this pandemic, many young children are missing their friends and subsequently the important skills learned through peer relationships. Given that the development of positive social relationships and friendships begins with sibling relationships, there are things that parents can do to support the development of social skills such as turn taking, sharing, and providing assistance. Research has shown that many children of determination lack critical social skills that can negatively impact the development of peer relationships. In this session, parents will learn strategies that can be implemented to support the healthy development of both sibling and peer interactions.
