‘UAE is adopting integrated system to fulfill children’s rights,’ says Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed

H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA), said: “The UAE is adopting an integrated system to handle childhood-related issues, whether at the legislative, educational, cultural, health or other levels. This system aims to fulfill all children’s rights, ensure access to the best care, and raise awareness of their identity, culture, heritage and community values.”

The great attention paid by the UAE leadership to children reflects keenness on empowering them to lead the country in the future, Sheikh Theyab stated on the occasion of World Children’s Day celebrated on November 20 each year.

“The leadership is working on upskilling children, creating the best environment to build their personality, helping them engage in the community, and instilling values of persistence, love of knowledge and excellence into them,” he added.

Sheikh Theyab affirmed that the UAE, within its humanitarian approach at the international level, is a key supporter of children in the world, especially in poor communities and regions experiencing crises, wars and epidemics.

He further highlighted the great role of families in helping the country promoting children development and wellbeing. Sheikh Theyab clarified that family awareness of the importance of childhood is crucial to ensure the success of relevant national plans and strategies.
